time.quranmajeed.com shows Islamic prayer times. It is run by Pakdata, the makers of the Quran Majeed app (quranmajeed.com). This policy covers the website, the embeddable prayer-times widget, the JSON API and the MCP server at this address. There are no accounts and no sign-in, and we sell no data.
On the first visit the website asks our server for a rough location so it can show times for your area. Our server sends your IP address to a geolocation provider (ipgeolocation.io) and returns the city, coordinates and time zone. The answer is kept in your browser's local storage and in a short-lived cache on our server; the provider receives only the IP address. You can pick any city yourself in the settings; that choice also stays in your browser only. Pages under /city/ use the city in the address and do not look up your location.
When the weather widget is on, the coordinates of your chosen place, rounded to about ten kilometres, are sent to the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (api.met.no), directly from your browser or through our server, which caches the answer per area. No other detail about you is sent.
The website and the TV apps send anonymous usage events (page views, feature use, app version) to Google Analytics. Google receives your IP address as part of the request and processes it under its own policy. We do not set cookies for this and cannot identify you from these events.
Like every web server, ours records the IP address, the requested address, the time and the browser identification of each request. The JSON API, the geolocation and weather proxies and the MCP server also count requests per IP address for a short time to stop abuse; a blocked address is released automatically. Logs are rotated and kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
Requests to /api/prayer-times.php and to the MCP endpoint /mcp carry only the parameters needed to answer them: a city name or place id, a date or month. The MCP server logs the caller's IP address, client identification, the tool called and the outcome. It receives no conversation content from AI assistants beyond those parameters, and nothing sent to it is used to train models.
Your chosen location, alarm settings, adhan downloads, time format and similar preferences are stored in your browser (local storage or the app's storage on a TV) and never leave your device unless one of the services above needs them, as described. Clearing site data removes them.
The service does not knowingly collect personal data from children; it collects no personal data beyond what is described above from anyone.
